The Word Became Flesh

Home Deep spirit of natureThe Word Became Flesh

September 22-24, 2017

Facilitated by Chris Anderson and Don Beaucage

If we believe and accept that we are created in the image of God, that we are created good, that Jesus is the incarnation of God and we are in Christ, then what are the implications for us as men, our connection with our body, our own incarnation? Chris and Don will lead us in nature to explore this incredible mystery: that we are enfleshments of the Divine – the physicality of who we are as men – that we are word spoken and enfleshed, in ways that empower us even as we’ve been taught to be suspicious of our physicality.   Spirituality is not a flight from our bodies, but an embrace of the fullness of who we are, body and spirit.  The sacredness of our humanity, how to access and reverence this connection which is a holy temple and dwelling place of the Divine . That it is okay to be flesh. Our bodies remember that we are stardust and carry the connection of the vastness of all creation . We will focus on how to connect better with this body which make us so proud and male, and yet at times, shames, humbles and challenges even as it reveals the divine presence. Join your brothers on this journey into our humanity.
