This powerful men’s weekend is being facilitated by Jim Taylor, whose contagious wisdom and insights energized us a few years ago. It begins 6:00pm Friday with dinner and ends by Noon on Sunday – in conjunction with the Men of St. Thomas Parish. Thomas is among the most honest, courageous, and outspoken of the apostles of Jesus. He challenged Jesus and his brothers in practical and generative ways throughout the Gospels. It all comes to head when he missed the Risen Jesus and demanded proof by touching His wounds. He got what he asked for – his doubt was transformed into freeing faith. Wounds can shrink us and make us protective, cowards or numb us. Jesus challenges us, as he challenged Thomas, to touch the wounds so that they can be transformed or transform us and make us more generative men of faith.
